Hi there!!

My name is Leila Veronica Durán and I am a mixed media artist based in El Paso, Texas. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of art in Psychology and a minor in art from New Mexico State University. I have a little over two years of metalsmithing experience which has allowed me to dig into detail and bring more life into my artistic journey! I sculpt creatures that are meant to challenge one’s comfort yet bring about a sense of connection. My work explores the vulnerable parts of human interaction without the fear of being judged. This means, each character has its own personality and is, in my eyes, extensively harmonious and unafraid of being.

My art is my friend, inspired by the original art of human connection. It is an extension of the body, mind, and soul, minus the expectations and worries we may face.
